Design Process

Getting Started

The design process begins with a 1-2 hour Introductory Meeting. The Client and Designer discuss the project’s vision, goals, and expectations. The Designer learns about the Client’s preferences, likes, and dislikes. Specific requirements, overall budget, and timeline are assessed.

The Client should bring the following items to the Introductory Meeting:

  • Site and property surveys
  • Existing floor plans, room dimensions, or furniture considerations
  • Photos of the project area, neighboring areas, and/or interior photos
  • Inspiration images (magazine, Pinterest Board, Houzz Idea Book, etc.)
  • A Wish List to communicate important ideas to Designer

From this initial meeting, the Client may choose to ask the Designer to prepare a Conceptual Study for a nominal fee.
